Dance to the Rhythm!

Have you ever experienced when you are in the nightclub and you just become one with the music? You think you are following the rhythm of the music, but maybe the rhythm is following you... You don’t have to think about the rhythm, it just floats out of you!

For the course Sound, Space and Interaction, Melle Lefferts and I created an app with PureData. The app measures the movements of your phone and creates music on the rhythm of your dancing. After creating the rhythm of the music through dancing, an interactive dialogue develops, where sometimes the dancer will guide the rhythm, and sometimes the rhythm will guide the dancer.
