Synaesthesia is a perceptual phenomenon in which a person experiences sensations in different modalities than the stimulated modalities. For example, seeing numbers represented as colours. Not many people experience a form of synaesthesia where taste perception is involved. Therefore, we asked ourselves if it would be possible that a nice painting would result in a nice taste sensation. We created an installation to test if this form of colour-to- taste synaesthesia is also possible.

Each colour represents an ingredient and the amount of colour on the screen results in a recipe. What would you like to draw and eat?
